Hello,
I'm facing the following: for now I've got 1 op station but I need to have an exact copy of this when one of the two goes down. I was trying to use clonevolume, but not very succesfully... (keeps saying unable to open file). What's the best way to do this so that both op stations receives the alarms but accepting the alarms is done one 1 (so that I don't have to accept the alarms on both stations)?
The second part of the my question is creating 2 other op stations with only view permissions (probably using a user with no prev's), here there's no need to display alarms, so I think best is not to state my dir in the settings), but most imported: when one of those op stations (with view rights) goes down, the system must NOT come in alarm. So wheither this op stations are running or not (the one with the view rights) this system won't be affected at all. I don't know if this is possible at all?!?

Hi jds,
There is a description on how to clone volumes in release notes 4.8. The script file on $pwrp_cnf is mandatory and I guess the error message is that this file can't be found. An acknowledge of an alarm is distributed to all connected operator stations and other outunits and only has to be acknowledged once.
If the connection to a configured node is missing, there will be a warning process status for the qcom monitor. This will be reflected in a waning system status, with an alarm message and yellow node indication. The alarm message for system status can be disabled in the MessageHandler object (but this will disable all system status alarms), but the yellow node indication can't be disabled.

Claes,
thanks, I'll try again with the creation of the mising file. I already found the disciption in the release notes of v4.8.
For the op stations, I was afraid it would be something in that direction. The only way to have a healty system is to have all stations alive. Would there be an option with a friendly node mounting the volume, perhaps with its own plc just to show the values of the plant (information system)? I've heard of friendly nodes on the old forum, but I can't find any info on them.
