Hello,
I am currently facing the following issue: I tried to copy a $PlantHier object as well as some nodes from one project into another. The $PlantHier contains multiple Ao and Do objects that have SigChanCon to the nodes I’m copying.
First, I copied the nodes into the new project using the .dbs file from the original project. After finishing that step, I also copied the $PlantHier into the new project.
The problem is that the SigChanCon attributes of my Ao and Do objects were not copied correctly. For example, Ao1, which was originally connected to ChanAo1, is now connected to something unfamiliar, while Ao2, which was connected to ChanAo2, is now connected to ChanAo1.
Is there a way to fix this issue, or do I have to reconnect all the objects manually?
Thanks in advance

Hi User,
You have to copy the hierarchies with the signals and channels in one copy to keep the references. The trick is to activate 'View all toplevel' in the menu to show both the plant and node hierarchy in the same window. Then select parts of both the node and plant hierarchy before copying.

Hi Claes,
Thank you very much for the quick reply.
How does it work if the target project already contains the nodes, and I only want to copy the $PlantHier with the Ao objects from the other project?
In that case, do I need to set the connections manually, or would I have to replace the existing nodes in the target project with those from the source project?
Thanks,
User

Hi User,
You have to make new connections manually to the existing channel objects.
